1/4/2021 Healthy Meals to Kick Off 2021It's the first Monday of the New Year! Before we stress ourselves out with "starting over" or punishing ourselves for indulging over the holidays, let's just get back to the basics of healthy living. Let's prioritize real, nutritious foods over processed foods, quick and healthy meals over daily takeout, and create small habits that build upon each other rather than commit to overwhelming resolutions that fizzle out fast. To help inspire you this week, I'm sharing some of my favorite healthy breakfasts, lunches, dinners, snacks, and even treats to help you feel your best as we jump into the new year! BreakfastLet's kick off the day with some nutrient-packed breakfasts. You know I love a smoothie to start the day, but for those colder mornings where a smoothie doesn't sound ideal, here are a couple other ideas. And if you're loving the smoothie mornings, make sure to check out my Start with a Smoothie eBook! I love prepping a bunch of Salads-in-a-Jar so all I have to do is shake them up and pour them onto a plate. Make a few at a time so you're set for a couple days! Also, my Lemon Tuna Salad is a total staple that I love having prepped in the fridge for a quick and easy protein! And for the last lunch recipe - collard wraps using any leftover protein that you have from your dinners! Keep it simple and try to avoid packaged, processed snacks that don't have much nutritional value. SweetsTo feel our healthiest and our best, it's important to keep sugar to a minimum. That being said, you know I have a major sweet tooth, so I'm not one to skip my daily treat. Here are a couple low-sugar treats that satisfy that sweet craving but keep you feeling fab!
