2/27/2018 PB & J SmoothieI'm such a creature of habit when it comes to my morning routine. Wake up, workout, smoothie, and get going on my workday. The smoothie part of that routine is almost always my Chocolate Almond Butter Cup smoothie. I was seriously hooked on that one until I came up with one that's equally as delicious and crave-worthy. Enter the PB&J Smoothie. Who doesn't love PB&J!? It's such a nostalgic combo of flavors and always hits the spot, especially in smoothie form! This smoothie is full of protein, healthy fat, and lots of fiber to keep you full, happy, and satisfied from breakfast until your lunch break, so you can focus on your morning to-do list, rather than what your 10 AM snack is going to be. Btw, I usually add some greens when I'm making this smoothie in real life (spinach, baby kale, or a pinch of microgreens). It won't have this pretty pink color when you add the greens, but it will still have the same delicious taste! Or you could add frozen cauliflower (I swear you can't taste it) for a veggie boost while maintaining the perfect blush hue (bc #instagram... I get you, my friend). Ingredients: 1-2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk 2 tbsp chia seeds 1 tbsp peanut butter 1/3 cup frozen strawberries 1 serving vanilla protein powder (my favorite) Optional: handful of greens (spinach or baby kale), pinch of microgreens, or 1/3 cup frozen cauliflower Serves 1. Combine all ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth! PS - This smoothie recipe was featured on Inspired by This for Valentine's Day. Totally the perfect way to celebrate the day of love by showing your body the love and nourishment it deserves!
Can't wait for you to try this one - you'll love it!
