You know those days when the absolute last thing you want to do is go to the grocery store and figure out what to make for dinner? We all know the feeling - long day at work, followed by racing over to a workout class, then to Whole Foods to get groceries, wait in line for way too long, and finally get in your kitchen by like 9pm ... it's exhausting! Well last week was absolutely lovely because I didn't feel like that at all, and I still had some seriously delicious dinners throughout the week, all thanks to Sun Basket meal delivery.
Let me give you the low-down on Sun Basket. It's your answer to the "what should I make for dinner?" question - no thinking or grocery shopping required. The best part is that it uses certified organic produce and responsibly-sourced meats and seafood. All meals are perfectly portioned, nutritionist-approved, and you can choose between Paleo, Gluten-Free, Vegetarian, or Chef's Choice each week. Delivery is free (!!) right to your front door and they currently deliver to CA, WA, CO, UT, OR, AZ, NV & ID. And they even send you a return shipping label if you'd like to recycle all of the packaging and insulation. The delivery comes with all of the ingredients neatly organized and labeled and with really easy-to-follow cooking instructions for each meal. Seriously can't get much more convenient, but more importantly, how does it taste?
Well, after spending way too long deciding what we wanted to try, Mitch and I finally went with the Chickpea & Cauliflower "Fried Rice", Red Lentil Soup with Sumac & Goji Berries, and Pan Roasted Salmon with Artichoke Pilaf. Every single meal was absolutely amazing! I honestly couldn't pick a favorite if I tried because everything was so fresh and flavorful and it was all cooked to perfection (those instructions are great!). Another thing I just love about this service is that it totally gets you out of your comfort zone and makes you try new foods and combinations of ingredients. It makes eating healthy during the week as simple and easy as possible! We are totally hooked and can't wait for our next Sun Basket delivery!
