12/10/2024 Peppermint Hot ChocolateThis peppermint hot chocolate is truly the perfect festive, cozy drink that happens to be dairy-free, low in sugar, full of antioxidants, and still satisfies the sweet tooth! You can make it as is, or add a scoop of collagen or chocolate protein powder to boost it up with some extra protein to keep you full. Hope you love it as much as I do! Ingredients
1 tbsp cacao powder 1 scoop chocolate protein (I use primal kitchen collagen fuel) 2 cacao butter wafers (I use @navitasorganics) or 1 tbsp chocolate chips 3/4 cup hot water 1/4 tsp peppermint extract 3/4 cup @malkorganics Holiday Nog (or use any unsweetened nut milk) Crushed peppermint candies for garnish 1. Add cacao powder into a mug + cacao butter wafers (or chocolate chips or white chocolate chips). 2. Add hot water and peppermint extract. Allow the cacao butter to melt for a minute and then mix everything together with a handheld frother. 3. Froth / heat your holiday nog or nut milk. Then pour into your mug and garnish with crushed peppermint candies. (alternatively, you can warm everything together in a pot on the stove, then pour into your blender to mix / froth). Enjoy!
